Astrology can shed light – Believe it or not

Imagine that you lived in the age of candlelight, and someone foretold you about the advent and widespread use of electricity. Would you have believed it? It hadn’t been invested or proven yet. So would you have thought that this person was somewhat crazy? Predicting a ‘woo woo’ kind of happening? It is good to have a discerning mind. Ask any Virgo and they will tell you that logic and science are wonderful human tools. However, it is also good to have an open mind.

Just because scientists have not found a way to explain or invent something, does not mean that something is not true, real or possible.

The forthcoming conjunction of Saturn and Neptune in 2026 already casts its influence on humanity highlighting the importance of avoiding fear of the masses. The combination of these two planets coincides with times of paranoia in history. With this in mind, it is important to trust your own guidance rather than tuning into the media or social media. Astrology can help. Since ancient times earth’s inhabitants have known that we are not isolated on this planet. The Sun and the Moon are constant reminders as we experience day and night, heat and cold, tidal motions and such like. And from ancient times learned minds have studied the effect of the planets’ magnetic cyclic influence on planet Earth. Astrology is not new. And New Age adages are not that new.

“The universe is always conspiring to help us, if only we trust its wisdom.” This was written by Ralph Waldo Emerson who lived in the 1880s.

In my lifetime I have seen the edicts of the traditional Christian church crumble and the belief in astrology boom. This was unthinkable when I was young, and yet, like electricity it did occur.

Currently we live in a rapidly changing geo-political climate on a planet that is teaming with human life. Many astrologers are predicting upheavals of Biblical proportions, particularly those in the United States of America where the political landscape is volatile under the dictatorship of Donald Trump.

But the geo-political climate has often changed in a volatile, even violent manner, in countries around the world. 2025 is indeed a game changer as the planets shift in the heavens. But are these changes dire? Not necessarily. The world’s resources are being utilised at a rapid rate by a human population so successful that it is mushrooming out of control. As resources are stretched the gap between rich and poor becomes cavernous in communities, countries and global groups. In some ways this is no different to other periods in the history of the world. Now, though, social media is in fact a world wide web of fast-moving algorhythms that have the power to incite fear.

The shift of planets into Aries encourages individual accountability. Saturn moves into Aries in May, 2025 urging us to look at our own individual lives and build our habits, homes and actions on firm foundations. We need to combat ambition with ways in which we can help ourselves, our loved ones, our extended community and the global community. The question is: “how can we minimise our impact on the planet’s resources”? A smaller car? Smaller house? Less retail shopping from cheap outlets? Buying local? Saturn urges us to be economical, self-reliant and industrious. Saturn in Aries says that this is an individual choice and one that has consequences. The Lord of Karma speaks and warns us not to submit to the fearful side of Saturn. This is about the power of positive change, one person at a time. As Saturn wends its way around Neptune in Aries we are called on to tune in collectively to a common goal. Together we can light candles and reduce our footprint on planet Earth and watch nature replenish.
