Neptune in Aries – A Spiritual Gateway
Outer planet Neptune leaves Pisces and enters Aries on March 30 heralding a major planetary energy shift for humanity and the end of an era. Pisces is the end of the Zodiac and Aries the beginning.
Neptune has been slowly moving through Pisces since February 4, 2012, sowing seeds of awareness of global networks. Neptune enters Aries for the first time since 1861.
The ice giant, Neptune, takes 165 years to go around the Sun. That’s about 13.75 years in each Zodiac Sign. And now it moves into Aries on March 30, 2025, before retrograding into Pisces on October 22, and then finally moving into Aries from January 27, 2026 until March 22, 2038. The last time that Neptune shifted back and forth into Aries was in 1861 and 1862, before making its way through Aries from February 14, 1862, until June 1874.
As Pisces is the end of the Zodiac and Aries the beginning, we see that humanity is at a gateway. It is time to focus on the spiritual. It is a time of initiation. We can fire up with spiritual ideals, and combat any lack of compassion and inclusiveness.
On a personal level, you can look at what the planet and signs signify. For example, Neptune is associated with dreams and Aries with action. So, it may be time to turn your dreams of the past 13 or so years into action. Perhaps you have been waiting for the right time? You may have heard of the saying ‘walk your talk’. Look for subtle signs for the best way forward. Some dreams may dissolve. If this is the case, then look for what can be initiated. Let go and take action, moving in a different direction.
To understand the current world climate under this influence we look back to 1861 and beyond. US President Lincoln announced his Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation (September 22), which would free all slaves in areas rebelling against the United States. Civil war broke out in 1861. And continued until 1865 when slavery officially ended in 1865.
The American Civil War erupted exactly as Neptune entered Aries in April of 1861. It was a war over slavery and was a war for the treatment of all individuals as equals. Neptune combined with the force and conviction of Mars, the ruler of Aries. What we learn from this is that any egregious treatment of individuals becomes a trigger for war. In today’s world this may be linked to transgender and non-binary rights. Aries is associated with confrontation and courage. This might bring heightened activism but also potential backlash as societal norms are challenged. Legal battles and political debates around transgender rights could become more intense.
Under this planetary influence weather is likely to become a hot topic, as further global warming leads to rises in the oceans. Neptune combined with Mars and Aries is literally hot water. Hence the push to settle on Mars is likely to be a hot topic but also clouded by mystery and uncertainty.
Health is likely to become very individualistic with Genome DNA testing taking off, which is also likely to cause confusion over health insurance issues, as Neptune tends to cloud some issues.
Changes will be gradual and subtle. Neptune in Aries is a slow burn. Humanity as a whole, countries and individuals are all affected by this major change.

If ever you were going to slow down then this is your time to do so – slow down and smell the roses, take time for health or spiritual retreats, and take part in healing modalities. All of these are for you to gain greater selfawareness.
Taurus: This period of your life may see you become more introverted, pursuing activities behind the scenes, exploring your past and coming to terms with subconscious motivations. You may be more self-conscious than you have been previously, preferring to meditate, pray or tinker in your shed or artist’s studio. Alone time may become a priority.
Gemini: Friendships take on a new meaning during this phase. You may join groups or clubs that have an artistic or spiritual agenda and as a result friendships dissolve or shift. Hopes and dreams that previously sustained you may dissolve as new ones slowly form. If you lose interest in activities or people, then take a moment to redirect your energy towards anything that sparks your passion. It is a slow burn.
Cancer: This is your time to move from ambition to meaning in your career. If your professional life loses its spark, or your job becomes redundant then you are being subtly redirected to a job that has a greater purpose. It is time to find your true north, or to redirect your career towards something more meaningful. A grandparent may have a legacy that sparks a new direction.
Leo: Your beliefs systems are likely to subtly change, perhaps through travel, study or legal matters. You may feel drawn to explore philosophical and mystical subjects, or perhaps a water sports is calling your name. Travel over water is likely to have particular significance during this period. A spiritual quest or a calling to a higher purpose could draw you away from daily responsibilities.
Virgo: Profound emotional and spiritual experiences can leave you floundering and yet at the same time uncover significant resources. You gain strength from your inner resources. You need to avoid making decisions about your financial resources unless you have clarity or advice from a very trusted adviser, as your vision is unlikely to be clear. This is not the time to give away your fortune to a charity or spiritual group, but rather to focus on your own spiritual resources.
Libra: Relationships that hinder your spiritual growth are likely to dissolve during this period, making way for profound and inspirational unions. You are drawn to artistic and spiritual partnerships, both at work and in your personal life. This is the ideal time to enjoy duets which are harmonious, musical, artistic, healing and the like. Just make sure that you don’t have on rose-coloured glasses.

Your connections with siblings, neighbours and local groups benefit from you taking a more subtle approach. This is also your opportunity to express your creative ideas through writing, poetry, music and beauty. You benefit from the occasional, solitary, spa or health trips.
Pisces: You are likely to seek more meaningful ways to earn your money during this Neptune transit. You may be disillusioned with your income and look for work that honours your unique talents. Artistic, healing and spiritual modalities are likely to gradually feature more prominently in your choice of work, and the possessions that you accumulate. You may also discard some material goods.
